The obsession started early, fishing off the coastal piers of the Florida Panhandle. What began as simple weekend outings quickly evolved into a full-blown addiction that took over every spare hour. It became a lifestyle marked by permanent sunglass tans, a growing collection of custom rods, and a reliance on thousand-dollar reels. Before we even realized it, casual fishing was a thing of the past—replaced by a relentless need to be on the water.
Chasing the Edge
As time went on, the stakes got higher and the boundaries expanded. A pastime turned into a cross-country pursuit for the next challenge, a constant drive to find anything that would give us a competitive edge over the elements and the fish. That relentless drive has taken us across North America's fisheries: stalking backcountry snook deep in the Everglades, battling yellowfin tuna in the blue waters off the Louisiana coast, wading freezing rivers for spawning salmon and steelhead in Michigan, and sight-fishing wary, tailing redfish across the skinniest saltwater flats.
